City.
We design the city in order for people to live in it. In order for them to feel comfortable. We divide it into zones: where to live, where to rest and where to work. We design the movement of people and its direction. We try to guess and suppose their next step.
We not only design homes for people but their lives.
We design their morning – breakfast, way to work, how many kilometers one of them should walk and how many another one should ride.
We design the principle of organizing their working time.
We design their lunchtime. What an individual will choose after work – park, movies, bar - is also in our power to regulate.
We design where a bed should be placed for every citizen. And we are able to direct his look where we want.
That said, strange as it may seem, we want to look at this city from above, we want to see it entirely, and at once. We want to see the whole thing and do not want to pay attention to the trivia. We look at the city from above while those for whom it is intended - from below. They stand on its foundation with their feet. They stand where they must stand. They stand where their lives are going on, from where they look at their house, their bench, their work, their entire life. I want to look at the city this way. To give it a try.
(There is just one doubt – will I see people).
